Donuts

1 Tbs. yeast
1/2 c warm water
1 cup scalded milk-cool milk
2/3 c shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2 beaten Eggs
1 c. mashed potatoes
6 cups flour

Knead till smooth, rise double. Roll, cut & let rise. Cook in hot grease until golden brown.

Donut Glaze-

1lb of powdered sugar
1 Tbs butter
1 tsp vanilla
warm water for glaze
